Indeed, I did the research.  In both the anime and the games, Erika has a Tangela Pokemon.  And according to Bulbapedia, its the only Pure Grass type Pokemon in Generation 1 games.  I’m sure you know what that means if its important to you, but rest assured, I am doing the research before I commit this to paper.
