Wow, have I been busy!

So, Thursday night was the big The Dark Knight premiere. I don’t think I’m going to say anything much about it. I’m hoping that after Skwerl and Matt see it we can do some kind of podcast review where they lash out at me for being a flaming fanboy, then eat a little crow and acknowledge that it was a fantastic movie.

Seriously, I could list all the things I hated about the movie, and it still would end with “Holy shit, that was a great fucking flick.” I see no conceivable way they could do a third one, as A) it probably wouldn’t top this one and B) the last hour or so may as well have been the third one. You’ll see what I mean.

Thursday was a sweet day though. Remember my Chocobo issue I was having in Final Fantasy X? Finally got past that. Then I geeked out a bit more and watched “Batman Begins” and “Mask of the Phantasm”. Started to pop in the Filmation “New Adventures of Batman” set I have, but decided not to taint the day with that horrible turd.

We buggered off towards the film about 10PM, got there about 10:30PM, and just holy shit.  This movie is going to make so much money, the crowd was insane.  I immediately told my friend who was with me that I wished the film had been rated R.  Not for the extra gore or anything, just because the 16 year old kids in line were annoying as piss.  Seriously, if the kid in front of me had screamed “HEY!!!  WU TANG!!!” one more time, I likely would have killed him.

Pretty interesting crowd too.  We had kind of bet that the majority of the movie goers didn’t really “get” the character and were just there for the hype.  And judging by the 17 year old preppy kids and their snobby girlfriends, we figured we were right.  Then the “Watchmen” trailer shows up, and everyone starts clapping and yelling.  We think we could be wrong.

Then they start clapping for “Body of Lies”, the latest Russel Crow/Leonardo DiCaprio crapfest.  Turns out we just saw the flick with a retarded audience.

Regardless, its technically Sunday as I’m posting this. I’ve been swallowed whole by the work monster, and its not looking up in the future. But hey, we have merch. And a store almost set up. So if you guys are interested in Wiik Sauce merchandise, why not leave us a comment and motivate us?
